Thinking ahead to winter, I am looking for a class on the weekend, to put my little girl in. She is/will be at a tough age for alot of the programs start at 3 and up.

Any suggestions? I thought some type of dance/movement or such.

The Little Gym is great- ask for Ms. Katherine or Mr. Chad - they were supporters of Broadlands Live.
Ida Lee Rec Center does a lot of great classes too, we have particpated in one (Valentine's Day) and it was so much fun!
Good luck and let us know if you find some great classes.

    hberg,
I've got a 2 1/2 year old as well and she absolutely LOVES Little Gym. In fact, we just got home from her class. Sunny is right - Mr. Chad is GREAT. He's the owner and also teaches several of the classes. I know they have weekend and evening classes and you can also take a trial class before you enroll to see if your daughter (and you!) likes it. Good luck!

We take our 2 year old as well. They have a class on one evening (Thursday's I think) and on Saturday for families that work full time. DD loves it and wants to go everytime we drive to the Giant shopping center. Ms. Katherine is currently on maternity leave and should be back in a few months. She is wonderful. She taught my daughter's classes. We have Ms. Nancy now and she's great too.

Has she had swimming lessons yet? Potomac Swim School, located in an industrial bldg across from MCI complex has classes that begin in January.

Ice House has skating lessons on the weekends too. A friend of ours had their 3year old in lessons last winter/spring. She loved it.

This could be a very good idea, she loves water so that may be right up our alley. Thanks for all the great suggestions. I have looked at doing little gym before but assumed she gets that kind of fun at preschool or doing the big red bus.
