If you're trying to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time, avoid Belmont Ridge going towards Rt. 7(road work) and Ashburn Road (repaving in numerous locations between Ashburn Farm Pkwy and Rt. 7). Needless to say, I haven't had a very productive morning. :)

avoid going anywhere of late :( This week has been especially bad for some rouge reason. 1hr to get back from Reston is common this week.

    Bleh.
Thanks for the heads up on the roads.
I agree though, this must be roadwork week, maybe roadwork month!

They're taking advantage of the final days of weather over 50 degrees. Based on the thickness of the asphalt layer they're putting down, they have a minimum surface temperature range of 40 to 50 degrees F.

Actually, I'm very glad old Ashburn Road is being paved, it hasn't been repaved once during the time we been in the area (since '98). Mostly its been patched and repatched.

However, according to the last schedule put out, Claiborne should be open to Route 7 by the end of this year/1st Qtr next.

Shellhorn by the home depot is under construction.

Also the power company took out way too many trees for their sub station and have mud and now clumps on waxpool and other streets. We all should call Loudoun and complain. The power company (Dominion) is notorious for not obeying state and county rules during construction and these agencies respond best when called by as many residents as possible.
