Interesting article appeared on slashdot.com this morning:

Anyone on Comcast in our area notice anything like this recently?

Interesting, what I have noticed there has been a lot of time outs using google and firefox. I have had to reset the modem a bunch of times over the last few days. Which seems to correct the problem for awhile. Don't know anything about this stuff, but I don't know if this is what you are talking about Mr Linux. I have a comcast tech coming out this afternoon. All this when when things have been terrific for a long time. Hopefully comcast is not going back to their old ways, or the little old lady might come back with the hammer it they are not careful. :)

Lee, I bet you're being affected by the filtering. Does it happen on any other sites, or just Google?

Also, the tech is probably going to blame the issue on Firefox and tell you to use IE instead. Tell him to burn in hell. :p

Well everything thing seems to time out, but some sites faster then others at times. Resetting corrects the problem for awhile then goes back to timing out. Although right now it seems to be ok.

Not sure if it's the Sandvine/Comcast problem but I've been having intermittent YouTube issues with playing videos today. Google itself seems fine.

FIOS can't get here soon enough.
