I know how hard it is to come by a great mechanic and wanted to share the contact information regarding our mechanic.

    The Carlisle Automotive GRP
44827 Old Ox Rd (Route 606)
    Sterling, VA 20166-2333
    (703) 668-0333

Fair, honest, and does fantastic work. I highly recommend this group.

    Shhhhhh. Don't tell everyone...

Just kidding-we've used to do work on our 1984 Camaro (yes, the one we're trying to sell). Our "normal" mechanics weren't comfortable working on a 20 year old car. We've been very happy with Carlisle.

We also like Ashburn Service Center in the Village shopping center. They fix problems and never try to sell you services you don't need. Just my $.02.

    BelindaTH,

Do they specialize on certain cars ? Which car (maker ) did they repair for you to recommend them ??
I'm looking for a local mechanic for my car. Thank you.

    Directly from their website...
"We work on all makes and models of vehicles. No matter what you may own, Lexus, Mercedes, Infinity, Jaguar, Acura, Honda, Hummer, Cadillac, Volvo, Maserati, MG, VW, Audi, etc."

The care they worked on was our Nissan Xterra.

    Here is their website: www.carlisleautogroup.com

    Hmmm they spelled Infiniti incorrectly.

From my experience, certain cars requires a shop that specialize in that specific engine. Like Mazda rotory engines are NOT for the average mechanic. Also I found many mechanics are not qualify to work on force induction engines like turbocharged engines. They just don't understand how the system works. Maserati??? They come with a ferrari engine so I hope they have someone who knows how to work on them.

I'm sure this shop is great for general maintanence but for more specific problems, I'll take it to a shop that specializes in a certain type of car.
