Great Shopping Areas in Richmond, VA

If you would like a great shopping mall better than Tysons Corner--go to shortpumpmall.com web site. This open-air mall is bigger and better than Tysons. Dillards, Nordstroms (bigger that Tysons store), and other stores are great.

Lerner Enterprises is opening a 300,000 sq. ft. open-air mall by end of 2007 around Wegmans Sterling with "boutique" stores after Waxpool interchange is completed. Also, Barnes and Noble is looking to open a new store in Brambleton Town Center by 2007 and also where the new Wegmans Leesburg Store will open. Wegmans is scheduled to open late 2009 their new store in Leesburg along with a 20 AMC Theatre in the 300,000 plus town center concept.

Trader Joe's is also seeking stores in Ashburn and Leesburg by 2008. Whole Foods is tentatively looking at the Villages at Belmont when interchange is finished at Rt. 7/Claiborne. Cracker Barrel is seeking a store on Rt. 28 on Loudoun/Fairfax border by 2008, Harris Teeter is opening stores in 2006 Stone Ridge, 2007 Lansdowne and Brambleton, and Broadlands Phase 3 near Clydes by 2008.
