    Martin Ogle
    Cracking Walnut Brain Syndrome;
    The Quest for Green Living

    Finding our way towards "green living" is the greatest challenge of our time. It demands smart thinking and a scientific approach but also fresh ways of thinking. Can we crack out of self-imposed shells to find not only technical solutions but also needed perspective and context? Martin Ogle sets the stage for the Green Living Forum with a fun and unique introduction to energy and how we think about it.

    Martin has been Chief Naturalist for Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority since 1985 and has overseen all operations of Potomac Overlook Regional Park in Arlington. He has been working on energy issues for over 20 years, seeing energy as the biggest nexus between human activities and the rest of Earth's living system. Beyond his interest in efficiency and new technologies, his primary interest has been in how to promote conservation -- fun, challenging and interesting ways of living that require much less energy than we currently use, but compatible with the human spirit.
