    Hello Fellow Broadlander-inos!

Almost a year living in Broadlands now and this will be our first Halloween. Trying to stock up on Candy and stuff. So how many Trick-or-treaters can I expect? Lots of kids in Broadlands so I'm guessing a lot more than our old Sterling Neighborhood.

    Thanks!

It all depends on where you live in Braodlands and how accessable your home is to paths and other homes.
Where we live we only get the kids from the street and then a few from the streets directly behind and across from us, but we live off an unlit portion of Vestals Gap thus not alot of people wandering around in the dark. Other streets that are closer together and or have better lighting get much more. We typicall buy 2 to 3 of the big bags of candy and have way more then we need (I think 1 year we did run out but it was much warmer thsu more people out for longer).

I think most (not all) of the kids respect the turn the light on when you are ready to hand out candy and when you are done (or run out) turn the light off :)

    Staci,

    Thanks.

I live across from Hillside elementary, and I think my home is well accessible so I guess I should expect a whole bunch of scary ghosts and goblins to knock on the door. Looking forward to it!

We're in Southern Walk at the top of the hill on ridgeway. Last year the kids made it about half way up the hill then turned around and not many made it to our door. I am expecting that to be different this year though with all the houses that are now complete up here.

Needless to say I stock up and what we don't give out I take to work the next day :)

That's pretty bad....young kids can't make it up a hill???? YIKES!!! That's sad.

that's exactly what I thought. Hopefully the thought of more houses at the top of the hill on ridgeway will get more kids up it this year.

Odds are it was the parents who were escorting the kids who could not make it! :D

Then the parents need to get in shape. Get on that hill that winds thru the woods from Vestals Gap up to Truro Parrish.......that's great exercise going up. :)
