Broadlands Village Center Tree Lighting
Saturday, December 8, 6-8pm
Join your neighbors for an old-fashioned Tree Lighting Ceremony complete with music, surprises and free horse-drawn carriage rides with Santa. Traditional choral music provided by St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church Choir. Hot chocolate provided by Sal's NY Pizza. Light refreshments and more. "A Midnight Clear" at the US Botanical Gardens, Washington DC
The U.S. Botanic Garden's ever-popular holiday exhibit, 'A Midnight Clear,' opens on November 22 and will remain on display through January 6, 2008. The Conservatory will have extended evening hours until 8 p.m. on selected Tuesday and Thursday evenings: December 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, and 27. Live musical performances will be featured in the Garden Court on the evenings of December 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, and 27. No reservations are needed for these free performances.

this was incredible! i hope they do it again next year. the coachmen, santa & mrs.claus were so richly dressed and the carriage and horses were beautiful! sal's had hot chocolate flowing all night and we enjoyed the musical teddy bear gifts from mrs.claus.
