Houlihan's

Here is one to try: Houlihan's at 2200 Centreville Rd., Herndon, 703-674-0455

Generally they are similar to Bennigans and such, but this one is a bit more upscale. The menu spans from burgers to shrimp and steaks. The burgers are $9. The grilled shrimp was $16 including soup/salad. We have been several times and each time have been pleased. The food is high quality and priced well. The portions are large. The interior is comfortable. And best of all the staff is very pleasant and ready to please.

It is located just north of the tollway attached to the Crown Plaza hotel at the Herndon exit. It is across the street from Worldgate.

For those from the Chicago 'burbs, recall the Houlihan's at Oak Brook Center.

I was just at a Houlihan's in Monroeville, PA yesterday. Didn't know they had one here.

 

Is it a new Houlihans? I've never seen one around here. New England's full of them. We'll have to check them out. Thanks.

 

There used to be a Houlihan's in Georgetown back in the day (and I think there were a few others in the area) but it closed years ago. Is this the same chain?

 

There have been Houlihan's in the area before. The most recent was (no longer there) in the Holiday Inn Express by the Expo Center in Chantilly.

The Houlihan's (use to be the "Flight Deck") in Herndon is in the oft renamed hotel across the street from Worldgate. Been there a few times and it is not too bad.

 

Houlihan's used to have a good cajun jumbalya ... but the last time I was at a Houlihans (and it was the one at the Expo Center) it was no longer on the menu.
