HVAC Companies

    Maybe I have been out of touch with reality regarding HVAC companies and what they charge, but when did it become common place to charge $95 to show up at your door and then overcharge you 5x for a part that you can pick up for $30 at a building supply store. I know we live in Cashburn, but I don't like burning my cash in a furnace.

    Had that happen to me as well. In my case I provided the tools since his drill was dead and he still charged me 100 more on top of the 95 just for coming out. No parts needed and maybe 10 minutes of time. I think I'll be doing more repairs myself and certainly never using that company again. On second thought maybe I should start my own heating and cooling company with that markup
