Is anyone else seeing these things...they are attaching themselves to my screens and all over the screen porch. This is the first year we have ever seen them, they seem harmless just gross because they are everywhere.

Can you take a picture of one and post it?

The only problem we are having at our house are hornets/wasps. :(

And they are not flat.....until after I get to them :)

Did you get rid of the frog? Mr. or Ms. Frog would probably enjoy the flying insects. :p

    At least they're outside!

Are they teeny tiny black flies where if they were a little bigger might resemble a fruit fly?

We have had a few IN our house - not sure how they're coming in - vents maybe?

We had trouble with these little gnat-guys last year, inside the house. Found they were living on the soil of my houseplants. A little insecticidal soap took care of them. So, if you've got plants outside for summer, be sure to spray a few times over a week or so before bringing them inside. I'd also be careful not to let those little buggers into the house through an open door or hole in the screen. They're a pain to get rid of once they take up residence.

Okay, so it's not just our house. Had a "stinker" stuck on the screen - so it was "relocated" farther out in the yard. 15 minutes later, it's back, only this time inside the screen (how'd he do that?). A farther relocation. Third time, he became fish bait in the pond.

Of course, I'm pretty sure from the other posts here that this was three separate "stinkers."

We've had a lot of stink bugs as well. But lately I have seen these flying bugs with long legs. I am not sure what they are called but they are only in one section of yard near the garage. It's gross...I was hoping with the colder nights they would die off but no such luck yet. :eww:

I know, what is going on over here.....this summer we had a dear born on the side of our fence....it was so beautiful and I am not lying, my son was being baptized the day we found her. Of course we left her alone the the mother came and carried her off to the woods....

On a really sad note, I found a huge rabbit killed on our sidewalk by a fox or something just about a month ago when I was leaving at 5 am. The rabbit was huge..... and what a mess. My husband had cleaned up before I got back around 7 am and was horrified himself. who knows, a fox was our guess by the mess and the size of the rabbit.

the Toad is back....yea!!!! I am in love with him now and just went outside to make sure he is all right. He is sitting right on our front porch watching over me and my family as it should be.

We had an awful day, today was our 12th anniversary and awoke to one of our 13 yr old cats who passed away in the night and was waiting for us to find him by our front door.....it is so sad, he is the best cat. The kids have cried themselves to sleep... the vet said he died peacfully and happy, his name was peanut. Maybe we will name our new pet toad after him.....who nobody is allowed to touch!!!

Bring it on nature, the more the merrier, except for the stink bugs, I am tired of them. They are getting ito my screen porch and I can't take it anymore. I found one on my sons curtain in his bedroom, they are in our car and now what else.......help me please.....

That is pretty much what I am being invaded by. They are a mess, leaving around mess all over the screens. I will come out and swat 10 - 15 away and then 15 mins later there are 20+. I am going to research more tomorrow....

Sorry to hear of the loss of your cat. That is sad. 13 years is a pretty good life for an outside cat. Glad died in peace. It sounds like your house is a happy house for animals. :)

    Conga rats on your anniversary.
