I got an iPod Nano for Xmas. I haven't been able to use it yet, because I work for Fairfax County and they don't permit a download of iTunes on my laptops. Is it useless??? :conf2:

You can use other software to load music to it - but one way or another you need to install software to use it.

You can use Windows Media Player to put music on it. I did this when I got my first iPod and iTunes was not available for PCs. I don't remember if I had to do anything special, but it worked.

can't you buy music at the Apple store too and have them directly load it onto your Ipod?

Try downloading a program called sharepod. It is very fast and does not require Itunes.
