Um gee you all are SERIOUS golfers? I'd go to the driving range and power the ball way out, but never played. Same issue with tennis- ball often goes out of the court. Never had the control. Kaos and I stopped by 1757 to check it out the other day. He'd like to take it up. When he was a teen, his dad got clubs for the three of them (he's an only) and golfed. I think they even went to Pinehurst. My Brother in laws all paly when they can, but he hasn't really stepped onto a course but maybe three-four times in the last 10 years.

My grandparents retired to Florida and lived on a golf course. Grandaddy was good enough to play the circuit, but had 4 kids to raise, so he had a job. But he played for many years everyday until he died. In fact, he had played a round and was eating lunch with his buds at the clubhouse when his main aorta burst. He ACTUALLY survived that to play a few more years before Smokers Lung cancer took him. He had a cough. Turns out he had a grapefruit sized tumor in his lung. It was 2 months and then he was gone. But I remember him well. He loved golf and his grandchildren well.

So maybe you can get Rich out sometime...it's a grand sport. I used to love driving the carts, one time my sister and I were in one and chasing the younger sister and I turned too hard and the whole thing fell over! HA, we freaked out, worried what the man would say. Grandaddy had a Harley Davidson cart. After he died we had it up in the Adirondacks of Upstate NY for years to cart things to the main house from the boat. Finally sold it off to someone up ther and now we have a Mule. ...not the animal, duh!
