We are looking to move/remove/plant anew a large portion of our front yard landscaping and are looking to replace the concrete walk with stone. We will do a little of the work ourselves and have some done by the contractor so having a design to go by is important to us. Anyone have a good contractor for that sort of work?

My brother-in-law, Brian Lewis, is a landscape designer with Merrifield Garden Center in Merrifield, VA. He does beautiful designs and is wonderful to work with (I am biased but I wouldn't recommend him if he wasn't). His cell phone # is 703-346-4009. I don't know Merrifield's # but I'm sure you could get it through directory info.

just be careful: when I asked merrifield to do a proposal for me a few springs ago, just around this time because I got their info at the garden show, they told me they were just too busy and I should have contacted them over the winter. I went elsewhere.
