Its that time of year again, and I am considering hiring a lawn care service company for fertilization, weed control, etc. for my yard.

I have seen a few past threads on this topic, but they seem to be a few years old.

Any recommendations for companies that Broadlands residents have had good results and experiences with recently? I am looking for companies that have done a good job in building lush, think green lawns and managed weeds very well.

    Thank you!!

GoSkins - I'd be interested in your experience with BioGreen. My experience has been less than stellar. I use them for both my lawn and sprinkler systems and my lawn is not as lush as I'd expect it to be. I typically have to call them after each time they service the sprinkler system to correct something they did not find and I see too many weeds. It's early in the year and the lawn is only one eyar old so I'm giving them this year to prove themselves. At this point, I cannot, in good faith, recommend BioGreen.

We used Affordable Lawn Sprinkler - they integrated a fertilization/weed control pump with our sprinkler system - so we just turn it on and forget about it for the season. The only other thing we do is thatch our lawn once a season - I'd say that currently our lawn is the greenest and thickest on the block. www.affordablelawnsprinklers.com Other thought would be ChemLawn - we used them prior to our sprinkers being installed.

We've been using Ultra Turf for almost a year. They do everything - even landscaping (which we also did for the side of our house).

If you want something done right, do it yourself. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my lawn, but then again, it's something I enjoy doing. But I did let Creative Irrigation install a sprinkler system and they did a great job.
