Saw them digging post holes the other morning.. looks like maybe they are starting light construction?

Also.. I see the waxpool change up near the 4 way stop hasn't progressed anywhere.. that better not end up like a 2 year project like the stupid widening was.. ugh

My understand was that the intersection of Claiborne & Waxpool was ahead of Claiborne & Broadlands in the schedule. Maybe that intersection's date got moved up, or maybe it's posts to make it a 4-way stop?

Claiborne and Waxpool had priority for the county, Broadlands Blvd & Claiborne was a developer responsibility. The county has only one contractor that it can use, I have no idea why.

The issue at Claiborne & Broadlands was having to get all the proper permits and clearances.

All the permits were received, and the funding was released by the developer late last month. They said it would be in within 30 to 60 days, depending on the schedule for the traffic light contractor. I guess that contractor was able to start early. I don't know if this is the same one the county uses, if so, he likes to be paid at commerical rates, not government rates !! :D

I guess the body count and our illustrious supervisor (from South Riding) had absolutely no influence regarding the urgency at Waxpool/Claiborne. Such is the power of $$$.

In defense of Steve, it is not his fault. TerraBrook is the one who dropped the ball on this one. Steve did what he could when he was elected to try and move things along.

Nope just stop signs. I wonder if they'll put in stop signs at Waxpool and Turo Parish so that Southern Walk residents can safely cross to the Gas Station/Restaurant/Bank

That question was brought up at the Developer's Briefing on Thursday and noted by the HOA board members.
