    Hi,

I just discovered this new ballet studio in Ashburn. Has anyone taken their daughter to Tutu's and Tiara's? The prices seem higher than other studios. Are they flexible with dress attire? What if you miss a class? I can't tell if they let you pay month to month or if you have to commit for a certain period of time. I'll need to call for specifics. I took my daughter to Baby Ballerina and loved it! They were very flexible with everything! And I wasn't looking for anything serious for my daughter. I simply wanted a fun way of introducing her to ballet without all the stuffy rules (the rules can come later assuming she sticks with it). For now, she's young and I just want something cute and fun for her and something that is flexible. Please share what you know and your experience with Tutu's and Tiara's.

    Thanks!

Their prices do seem high but I think you're paying for shorter class sessions - most studios have you commit for an entire year. There may also be startup costs as it is a new studio.

My daughter started at 2 over at Creative Dance Center where we've been very happy. For the creative classes (non-recital), they learn the basics but I haven't found it "stuffy" at all. The classes become more technical as the children get older. We've never had a problem with taking a make up class and while attire is specified, I've never seen a child kicked out for wearing the wrong color leotard or forgetting their ballet slippers (just go barefoot).

It's the wrong time of the year but they do offer 6 week sessions in the fall and winter as well as one week summer camps if all you want to do is try them out without a commitment.

Tutus & Tiaras is absolutely wonderful. If you liked Baby Ballerina- you'll love Tutus & Tiaras!! And you just might know the owner...Miss Kristin! She is a Redskinette and is a professional dancer who is ABSOLUTELY awesome and has taught all 3 of my girls. It is very FUN focused while learning proper technique. Miss Kristin has awesome dress up clothes, tutus & tiaras (of course) and a cutesy tea party room in the back if you want to have a bday party there. She is WONDERFUL WONDERFUL and I can not say enough glowing things about her classes. We have been to lots of different dance classes and do love all of the teachers and studios we have seen- but Miss Kristin is the BEST!!!!
