"Frodo" our large male cat was lost Oct. 12th, after sneaking out while we were bringing in groceries that night. He is an *indoor* only cat, although he has a habit of escaping when he can, he has never left the area of the house before. He was wearing a green stretchy collar with our number in marker.

We live off of Springwell Drive between Vestals Gap and Broadlands Blvd. Please call 703-729-4795 if you have possibly seen him!

We and our girls miss him very much. He is very friendly and loves tuna.

    Thank you!
    Sharon

We think we may have spotted him Wed. night in the pours of rain! He was eating some kitten food we left on the porch, but ran when we pulled in the driveway :( After getting soaking wet for 20 minutes hunting with a flashlight, I had to give up.

We set the trap on the porch in case he was still hungry and could be trapped out of the rain, but wound up with neighbor cat #3 which was set free by my husband after finding no collar.

This one was a large black short hair cat, who was such a hungry boy he ate all the tuna and kitten food in the trap despite being captured! :)

Well, we haven't given up and are still praying Frodo comes home. I read that cats born to a feral mom (like him) may revert to being shy to people and comfortable in the outdoors.

Any more spottings of long hair black cats are very welcome. We try to follow every tip.

    Thanks so much!
    Sharon

    FOUND! Thank You Neighbors!

Three 5th grade hero boys (Arjun, Brian and Tyler) that live down the street from us found Frodo in the woods behind their house sick and weak from starvation.

We await blood test results from the vet to see if he'll be OK, but another few to several days and he would have been gone forever.

He is at home purring and rubbing and eating almost constantly.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped in this RESCUE, including all the thoughts and prayers that went out as the girls trick or treated with our Lost Cat poster.

Broadlands neighbors are truly different, and in these times really super.

    Best wishes and thanks,
    Sharon and family :)
