Can a resident put two coupons with two checks in one envelope so as to use one stamp instead of two envelopes with separate stamps as both are going to the same P.O. Box??

    Thanks to whomever responds!

Yes, if they are for the same address, but if one of those payments is late there will be a late fee assessed.

Understood but if they are for the same address and both coupons with attached checks arrive there at the same time within one envelope, how could "one" of those payments then be late? :conf2:

You can also send one check to make multiple payments.

For example, if one is for September and one is for October and it is after September 1st...that payment is late.

I was told that residents had to write one check per HOA...One check cannot be written for both HOAs..Has to be separate...

Not sure now that its true or not since you brought that up about your quote.

Thanks to all who took the time to respond.

    One HOA is Broadlands HOA

The other HOA is for Southern Walk HOA...

That is what Im referring to...I realize not all residents are part of the 2nd HOA.

TOTALLY separate HOA's, so they need to be sent separately and not in the same envelope - that's the safest thing to do. (My opinion)

If you're trying to save the cost of a stamp, the better way is to pay electronically either via your bank if they offer free online bill pay, or take advantage of Armstrong's auto-payment option. This also reduces your chances that any of your payments will be received or processed late.

That being said, as others have mentioned, you can put multiple payments to the SAME HOA in one enveloppe. For example, if you know you'll be away next month and want to pay your dues ahead of time, etc.

FWIW...I have sent both the Broadlands HOA payment and SWHOA payments (with separate checks) in the same envelope since the beginning of this year. Both now use the same PO Box address; prior to the beginning of this year, they had separate PO Box addresses.

Yes, we use a credit union which mails them a check (at no cost) every month.

For that matter, I cannot believe people still use banks (more fees please...) instead of credit unions. I've gotten accounts at credit unions every place I worked and am starting to collect them

Mine doesn't cost me a dime to have it done and its not a credit union....My bank never charges me fees anyway...but I do have a credit union as well as my other non-credit union bank.
