If you don't sell them, maybe contact ReStore in Purcellville which benefits Habitat for Humanity. They sell used and slightly damaged, new homegoods. Just a thought if you want to recycle them.

The Loading Dock will accept building materials. As I recall, they will transport the materials and the full amount of the cost (save your receipts) is tax deductable as well as the fair market value of your donated items.

"TLD accepts donated, used and new/surplus, building materials to distribute through its warehouse, for community improvement. Anyone can donate: individuals, contractors, distributors, manufacturers, corporations. Donors may claim a charitable tax deduction for the estimated fair market value of their donation."

    http://www.loadingdock.org/

One of our friends purchased a property with the intent of demolishing the existing house and building new. The Loading Dock came and literally stripped everything from appliances, light fixtures, doors, commodes...everything that could be reused and hauled it to their warehouse. Then he donated the stripped structure to the local Firehouse for training purposes and received a tax deduction for the full market value of the house.
