Are there any HOA rules/codes/suggestions for what types of vehicles are allowed on the paths or sidewalks? I'm wondering about motorized vehicles (mopeds, scooters, mini-motorcycles), which have the potential for traveling at speeds much faster than pedestrians or bicycles and would have greatly diminished capacity for reaction time. Is there some rule based on the speed limit (silly concept, but...) that could be traveled while on the paths?

We've been advised by the Sheriff's department that by law they are not allowed on the sidewalks.

Our house backs to one of the paths and I've been on our deck and have watched these motorized scooters move very fast and almost witnessed an accident with a walker and her dog. I called Wes from the Homeowners Assoc. and he said that they are NOT allowed on the walking paths. However, there are no signs posted anywhere telling people this. I have seen an article in the Newsletter though saying they aren't allowed.
