    So, you tell us about your "rock star buddy" sending you his new song, and then you link to his 1980 and 1989 hit "Into the Night", a video made up of cuts from other videos and a copyright infringement nightmare. I guess his new song wasn't good enough to post. Maybe that's why Wikipedia labels your "rock star buddy" as follows:

    Mr Linux you seem to be a very unhappy person. That song plays all the time even today. Further his new song which did not link right from the email he sent me could do extremely well. Benny has played in front of very large crowds. I don't why you always seem to have a chip on your shoulder. Try and be happy or perhaps a bit happier :)

    Maybe Lee should ask his "buddy" if it's ok for him to send people copies of his copyrighted songs. If Lee was really a friend, he would encourage folks to go out and BUY the music, not send them illegal copies or links to those copies...

    Do you let your kids download music without paying for it Gryphon?

    Nope, no chip here. You're the one who has to post everywhere about how many 'rock star buddies' you have, etc. Your post provided NO VALUE. In essence, all you said was "I have a friend who is a rock star. Here is one of his videos." Well, woopty-do. I don't have to post on forums about who my friends are to make me feel important...

    It can be entertaining, but in Lee's case, he was using our forums to try and distribute copyrighted material without the consent of his 'buddy'.

    THAT doesn't add any value if you ask me.

    And the intent of your original post was to link to your buddy's NEW song as well, so don't try to shift the issue here.

    I have no 'hate' campaign against you. You just need to 'think' before you post things.

    Speaking of 'hate campaign', why don't you go back a couple months and read YOUR posts on these forums. They define 'hate campaign' to a T...

    Sure thing. But do me a favor please. Contact your buddy and ASK HIM if it's ok for you to send people copies of the song he sent you. If he says it's ok, then go for it. Otherwise, you're just keeping money out of his pockets.
