    Hi neighbors,

I've been meaning to post this for a while. A few months ago, I had Doric Caron of Virginia Space Maker (http://www.virginiaspacemakers.com/blog/)
install ten gliding shelves in my kitchen cabinet. Although it was a rather pricey investment, the price was about half that of shelfgenie.com. The Pull-Out Shelves (Doric is a contractor for http://www.pulloutshelf.com/) seem really sturdy, and they make kitchen organization much, much easier. I'm very happy with them.

Doric and his assistant did a "precision" job (including replacing the hinges), came on time, finished on time, and cleaned up everything afterward. My only quibbles with Doric relate to "administration attentiveness," not the quality of the work ... a few times after the consult was done but before the work was done, I e-mailed him with questions and I noticed that he would respond to part of the question, not all of it ... I think this may be a common behavior among people who read their e-mails on a mobile device; I've noticed that some friends "half respond" also. I also had to request a copy of Doric's insurance certificate (I get one for anyone who works in my house) several times before I received it. (He'd had the insurance for years, so I believe the delay was just an oversight.) I would certainly not let these lapses stop me from hiring him in the future; I just want to give anyone considering the shelves a head's up RE: his communication style.

    Best,
    Laura
