Has anyone had their garage finished/organized/flooring done?
Looking for a professional to install cabinets/shelving system and clean/paint the floor.

I've been sitting here, hoping someone would respond to this thread. Organizing our garage as well as the closets in the main bedroom have been on my list of 'Summer Projects' ideas for a few weeks now.

The latest issue of Consumer Reports has an article and ratings of various do-it-yourself solutions, as well as professional installers. Might be one place to start looking... I believe it's the July 2006 issue, with digital cameras on the cover.

I'm a subscriber to their website, but I think the following link should be free to everyone:

I'm still interested in what everyone else might have come across!

Well, we're making progress. Thanks for the interesting link.I found three local companies through the internet and yellow pages. Two already came for an estimate, "Classic Closets and Design" and "Garage Design Source".Both were very friendly and not pushy at all, and gave some good advice.I was especially impressed with Garage Design Source's David Chin, he brought a portfolio with an array of "before and after" pictures, and samples of all the materials they have.I will keep you posted regarding the estimates!

You might try Closet Factory as well. I recently had them come to give estimate on my fathers home and was very impressed with the person they sent who gave us alot of ideas. Also thought there cost was reasonable. They have not installed the items yet so can't tell you about quality of product. They do organization for garages as well as closets.

I can vouch for Closet Factory's closet reorganization services as we have had them redo/reorganize our master bedroom walk in closet and 2 bedroom's reach in closets as we couldn't stand the wire stuff the builder used. 100% improvement as far as looks, organization, and more space.
