New Roads near Harriss Teeter?

Hey folks-
Was wondering if someone could tell me were the new construction at the WynRidge/Ashburn Village intersection (behind the Souther Walk HT, Glory Days shopping center).

I'm curious as to how the roads are being extended. Is Wynridge just being extended to meet Old Ryan or is it going to go further out?

Please someone tell me it will be another outlet to Rt. 28!!

I'm pretty sure it won't go all the way to 28, since the airport is in the way.

 

As of December 2007 the Countywide Transportation Plan shows that Mooreview will eventually be a 6 lane divided highway connecting to Loudoun County Parkway.

Wynridge will only connect to a new road ending at the proposed Ashburn rail station.

Part of Mooreview is already in place. If you pop down Old Ryan Road to where it intersects to LCP (well, last time I Was down there anyway) the street sign no longer is Old Ryan Road - it's Mooreview Parkway. So it looks like they're finally cutting it through.

Have they started work on Claiborne yet?

 

For now, the only road work going on is an extension of Mooreview Parkway to Croson Road, and an extension of Wynridge Drive to Old Ryan Road. This is a proffer requirement of Carbon Thompson, one of the developers of Moorefield Station. Eventually Mooreview Parkway will go all the way through to Loudoun County Parkway, but that is also a proffer requirement which is tied into residential development. Who knows what their time frames are? But Mooreview Parkway is supposed to be a replacement for Old Ryan.
