    FYI - Your attendance is encouraged. Again, please email Scott Bayles (Sjbayles@aol.com) if you'd like to be added to the Broadlands Neighborhood Watch mail list!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    HI All,
    It is that time again to meet and get caught up on things. Ed Pifer will be coming from the Sheriff's office to discuss crime statistics and whatever else you would like to talk about with him.
    The meeting will be on Thursday Nov 11th from 7:30 to 8:30 at the Community Center.
    Bring a friend. We really need "viral marketing" to make the NHood Watch program successful. The more people involved, the more coverage we have watching for each other.
    See you next week!
    Scott
    Is this meeting for the entire Broadlands community? Or just
    Southern walk? Thank you for your clarification.
    These was just emailed to me. Sperrin Court is at the end of Liverpool, which is off Waxpool across from the Silo Creek Apts.
    Sperrin Court also backs up to the Overland Park section of Broadlands.
    Loudoun County, Virginia- A Thanksgiving morning burglary has Sheriff's Investigators searching for a brazen subject who entered an Ashburn home while the residents slept inside.
    Shortly before 6 AM a six-year-old child screamed from his bedroom when he saw an unknown subject in his room in their residence on Sperrin Court.
    The parents initially thought their son had had a bad dream until later that morning when they discovered mud on the floor in his bedroom and their phone line had been cut.
    Deputies canvassed the neighborhood of Sperrin Court and discovered
    several of the neighborhood screens had been cut including a home along the cross street of Malin Court. Another home on Malin Court was discovered to have screen of their sliding glass door cut on November 28th.
    The subject was only able to gain entry to the one home and did not take anything from the residence during the burglary. The subject was described as wearing all black and was said to have been wearing a mask.
    If you have any information about the identity of this suspect you are asked to contact Investigator Weckenman of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475.
    If you would like to remain anonymous please call Loudoun County Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If your tip leads to an arrest and indictment in this case you could receive a cash reward of up to $1000.
