Anybody else wake up this morning to no water in the house? I do not get water out of any faucet or toilet. All the valve are open and last night we had running water until at least 10 pm. I was just checking with others to see if anyone else has experienced the same.

LCSA was great at responding and will be here in about 45 minutes. I'll let you know what they find.

The water department was here within an hour and fixed it. Apparently the pipes from the street to our house were frozen. Anyway, by 8:30 am we had water. I bet it happens again -- perhaps tomorrow -- as it's supposed to be even colder tonight. :(

Well, the water meter did not freeze last night. So, we're good to go (hopefully). I was amazed to see that the water meter is essentially exposed to the atmosphere. It sits in a cylinder with some crushed gravel at the bottom and the water meter cover at the top. So, the mater meter will be the same temperature as the air. I'm surprised it doesn't freeze more often. let's hope it does not.
