    Hi,

    I need to get some documents notarized. Can anyone recommend a notary in the area, along with associated costs?

    Most local banks have a staff member who can provide notary service. I believe most do not charge for it as long as it is your bank.

    Unfortunately, most banks will not notarize anything for someone who is not an account holder. I don't understand why.

    The UPS store in Brambleton has a notary.

    I have a friend in Broadlands North who's a notary -- not sure what she charges, but I'll ask!

    BB&T in Ashburn Farm has a notary. They ask if you're a customer, but I've never had to show proof that I was.

    The Checy Chase bank by Safeway has several notaries - I know that if you are a customer you get a certain number free per day, but I think that you can pay to have them notarize something if you are not a customer.

    The minimum charge for most notaries is $2.
