Oct . nature ctr programs with descriptions

    Oct. 7

    * ”Wetlands at the Walkway”- A Toddler Trot

    10-11Am

    2-4 yr olds

    Come to the walkway by Harris Teeter and learn about the wildlife that lives in this area. We will use binoculars and magnifying glasses to get a closer look. Please dress for the weather.





    Oct. 8

    “Owl Moon”

    11-12am

    4and 5yr olds



    Get ready for the raptor program at the nature center by reading Owl Moon by Jane Yolen.We will learn about how owls are different from other birds .



    Oct.14

    “Nature in Disguise”( A Mommy , Me and Nature makes 3 program)

    10-11am

    12months-3yrs.

    We will learn about camouflage through games and songs. Take a hike to find examples of animals concealing themselves. Create a craft and play Camo Seek.



    Oct. 15

    * “Duck id @ the Walkway”

    3-4pm

    6-8 yr olds



    Take a close look at the waterfowl at the walkway by Harris Teeter. Learn about wood ducks and how they are diffferent from mallards. Learn about their migration and nesting habits. Please dress for the weath
