Here is a list of October Activities at the Nature Center

    Life Cycles (ages 6-9)
    Tuesday Oct 10 3:30-4:30 PM
From caterpillar to butterfly and seed to flower, the plants and animals around us undergo amazing changes as they grow older. In this “life changing” program we will examine the cycles some of our local creatures go through over the seasons and explore the nature center and its surrounding areas for signs of plants and animals in different stages of their lives.

    Discovering Fall (ages 3-5)
    Wednesday Oct 11 10:00-11:00 AM
Fall is a wonderful time to observe changes in the natural world. Hands-on activities, crafts and exploration will help kids discover these changes and learn about preparing for winter. We will read a story about the fall and make a colorful leaf craft.

    Spooky Creatures (all ages)
    Monday Oct 30th 7:00-8:00 PM
Join us as we learn some fascinating facts about Halloween creatures like spiders, bats, owls, and snakes. We will go on a wild wacky walk looking for creepy crawly creatures. Kids will have the opportunity to touch our snakes and cockroaches and to dissect owl pellets to see what they have been eating. Bring a flashlight.

All programs are $5.00 and will be held at the Nature Center. Please call or stop by the Nature Center to Register. A minimum number of registrations must be made or the program will be cancelled.
