Last night around a little before eight, my husband and I were returning home from a delightful dinner alone at Bonefish. We were driving down Truro Parish towards BR Road. Imagine our surprise to see a teenage boy with his pants pulled down to his knees rubbing his bare bottom on the top of a fire hydrant. His behavior was quite funny to the three girls and other boy he was with.....all we could think of was that the knob on the top of the hydrant must really hurt. He had a red shirt on and I think dark hair. They were walking on the path down the hill from the direction of BR Road. Do you know where your teenage boy was last night? Also I don't think I would let my younger kids play around any fire hydrants...:hurl:

Ummm, yeah, OK. :/ That's about the oddest thing I've heard of in a bit.

I think this story is a hoax, it was posted over on Brambltonian, and I have my doubts about the authenticity.

    AFGM,
I posted it on Brambletonian after I found the post here. I qouted the OP in this thread. Check the posting times on the two boards.

I still think it's a hoax. Thanks for the clarification.

Hoax or not, teenagers do silly things. And personally, I think that this "event" is silly, not disturbing.

Any of us adults (ahem) ever do anything on a dare when we were kids? :D

Trust me, I couldn't make this up. I am unfortunately not that creative. I just thought in light of the other posts regarding teenagers causing problems...some parents might recognize the description enough to know their kids were not just out on a little walk to the local Sunocco for a slurpee. Were they causing harm? No, not really...my hubby and I even got a little laugh about all the stupid things we did as teens. I just thought Mom and Dad might want to have a conversation about how if you choose to molest a fire hydrant while walking by...it might be more appropriate to make sure no cars are coming. But, then again I guess it wouldn't be nearly as funny to the kid and his friends.

By the way...I do live in Brambleton, but did not post it there. Someone else chose to. We are having our own problems with teenage juvenille delinquents, although the worst offenders apparently live in Forest Ridge and just cause the problems here in Brambleton.

And the best place to get factual information about the area. Granted you have to weed through some interesting posts at times.

Enter and post at your own risk. There are people here that would get chewed up and spit out in no time flat.

Ah, High's. Wow, that brings back some memories. I thought they were only in a couple Baltimore neighborhoods growing up.

There was a High's in McLean. Once Southland bought High's they switched it to a 7-11, but to those of us who grew up there at the time, it wasn't a "real" 7-11.

If 7-11 is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, why are there locks on the door?

    OK, old joke. Sorry.
