I'm with you AFGM. It's a slippery slope. Besides, just having a NW may be a deterrent to criminal activity in your neighborhood, and it has the added benefit of possibly stopping crimes in progress. I think you should feel good about having enough volunteers to support a NW, even with its obvious limitations.

And IMO, unless I had a NW in my own neighborhood (which I don't), I would think twice about criticizing someone else's.

No cameras, just guns.

 

Cameras especially video cameras are a powerful tool in preventing crime and prosecuting it as we are finding in the construction industry. We have them inside and out on our homes and they are so small they are very hard to see. I have them all over the outside of my personal home as well.

I wish virginia would put them back on the taffic lights. Virginia for all it's sophistication is run at times by hillbillies!!!!

It's all a moot point anyway. We can't seem to get more than half a dozen people in Broadlands interested in NW. We're a long way off from doing patrols.
