Orthodontist recommendations

Just found out my kid needs braces. I'm looking for a second opinion/price (the first guy wants almost $5000 which seems a bit on the high side). Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

 

We took our son to Dr. Terryl White in Countryside, 703-444-5337. Of course, this was about six years ago, but it was less than what you were quoted. He's great and my son really liked him.

 

My son has just finished up with Dr. Daczkowski in Professional Plaza PH# 703/725-8838. $5000K does sound a bit overpriced. We didn't pay near that. Robin is the office manager and she is relly nice. Good luck.

 

Anymore orthodontist recommendations?

 

My son just started. We're using Broadlands Orthodontics. Cost is $5100. Dr. Daczkowski was $700 higher.

 

As an adult I started treatment, and I was told by many that the quality was very high and consistent with the results with Dr. Hukmani Lansdowne Orthodontics, 19415 Deerfield Ave Ste 306 Leesburg,VA,20176 (703) 858-3600

 

Are they envisalign (sp)? My co-worker just paid 5K for hers and the cost is all inclusive.

 

Both of my boys went to Dr. White in about 8-10 years ago. I really like him and I hate to tell the op, but 5K seems about right for full orthodontia, especially if it's two phases. Dr. White, like most, have payment plans. LOL, I was paying for two at one time (one in phase one and the other in phase two) so the total was more than 5K for both. Dr. White does a great job and came highly recommended and I know of many families who used him. He's been in Loudoun for years and has sponsored local teams.

 

I LOVE Dr. Guleria! (http://www.drguleria.com/home.asp) I've been going to her for about a year now and she and her staff are absolutely wonderful. I never felt like an adult at a kids' doctor, too. Definitely look her up!

 

I second Dr. D(Daczkowski) as he is affectionately known. My son is finishing up phase one of two phases. He started with a spacer and had braces on the top. We are waiting until he loses the rest of his baby teeth to start phase two. I can't remember what we paid out of pocket, but we were able to make payments. I would highly recommend Dr. D. He and his entire staff are wonderful!!

 

Both of my kids went to Dr. Guleria and we really liked her, too. Both kids teeth turned out wonderfully. Daughter is religious about wearing her retainer at night - and she's 20! Son, on the other hand - but his teeth still look good. I do miss getting my People magazine fix there!
