Wanted to share 3 of the fabulous activities that are taking place at the EarthDay@Loudoun 2009 event.

For those that missed the fall rainbarrel workshop, the Loudoun Soil & Water Conservation District will be holding 2 Rainbarrel Workshops. You will make them and take them home with you that day. They will deliver the barrels to your car in the parking lot so no worries about dragging it around the event. It just got warm enough for me to install my 2 rainbarrels last week and they already have water in it!

The Master Gardeners of Loudoun County are having 2 workshops on creating an herb or a salsa garden in eco-friendly containers. This is a hands-on workshop and you will be able to take the finished product home.

The Farmer's Market is coming early to Broadlands. Catch your favorite Farmer's for fresh meat, eggs, early vegetables, plants and honey.

These are 3 of the 70+ exhibitors that will be at the Earth Day event. Get there early because there is a lot to see and do. There will be live music in the parking lot of Clyde's along with BBQ available. WINC 92.5 FM will be broadcasting live. Leesburg Animal Park is bringing their animals for a petting zoo. Reptiles Alive!, the National Aquarium and the Raptor Conservancy will all be having shows.
