Hi everyone. What brand of interior paint do you recommend? I went to the library and read the Consumer Reports issue but I keep hearing criticism of the report because it only covers national brands. I'd like something that looks good and doesn't fade over time, is easy to clean and hopefully easy to apply. Thank you......

For me it depends on what sheen you are painting (flat, eggshell, etc) and how deep the color is. I LOVE Benjamin Moore paints for dark colors because they do a great job with them, and you end up having to paint less coats (from my experience). But it is more expensive.

Duron is also good. And I've used Behr and think it worked fine for what I needed it for.

    Hope that helps!

I've had fine luck with Behr and Valspar (hd and lowes) ... they are inexpensive and always rated at or near the top on CR.

Behr is good, also if you need a painter I can say enough about these two guys, they were fast, good professional and had extremely competitive prices.

    JP's painting.

I prefer Benjamin Moore over others but if you're on a budget then Behr is fine. I find that Behr is thicker and hence do not get as much coverage as with Benjamin Moore (so the price kinda works out even so skip the budget comment ;) ).
