Hi, I just moved into Broadlands southwalk, and I'm looking to plant a few trees next weekend, the previous owner apparently had no appreciation for trees period. Do I need to get permission from the HOA if this is just on my property?

    thanks

    Welcome to the neighborhood.
You do not need to get permission from the HOA to plant trees on your property. As far as I know you do not need HOA permission to plant anything on your property. Now if you want to add hardscape (stone walls, stepping stones, sidewalks, statues etc) then you do need HOA approval as well as if you want to remove trees from your propery with over 4 inch diameter.
    Hope this helps
