I am considering buying a portable basketball goal. Will someone post info on what HOA covenants address these goals. Also any recommendations or basketball goals to avoid. Thanks.

I thought I read in the HOA docs when I moved to Broadlands that portable B-ball hoops had to be taken in at night and stored indoors, or at least not left out all the time where it's visible from the street 24/7?
Was I just reading what I wanted to see, and not an actual rule?

It would be nice if everyone with a portable hoop did just that. ;)
As for an actual "rule", I cannot recall. But I do know that if it is in the docs, it is not enforced.

There is no requirement in the Declarations and By-Laws which require portable bb goals to be put away at night, but they must be applied for and they must not be located in a VDOT right of way.

Thanks! It must have been in the HOA docs from my old HOA then.
Over the years they all run together....
