Power's out!

    For those of you at work wondering why teh home team isn't IMing you or the phone sounds odd - we're out of power! Dominion is estimating restoration anywhere from 4:30 - 6:00 before it's restored. It's a major outage with over 4,000 home and businesses out. This is one of a string of localized outages stretching from Broadlands back towards Tyson's, all north of the Greenway/Toll Road.

    That is ALL! When you consider the temp is 90 plus heat index :scaredeyes: The poor little kitties can't unzip their fur coats or sip an iced tea when there's no ice!

    But, is it intentional?

    Its all about managing expectations!! Say it will be on at 6 and have it back at 4:30!! You've exceeded everyone's expectations and the world is good!!!

    Tried to go to the pool ( on Truro parish) with the kids and it's closed....

    Yes no power means no filters so the pools can not open

    Our power's out again too (Highview Trail Place). Estimated time now is 9:30pm

    we're off truro parish and it's on. was just at the teeter in sw and it went out. lights are still out at claiborne and waxpool too.

    Ahh good to live in West Broadlands. No power loss here. LoL

    Seriously, I hope the power comes back soon. This is not a good day to be without AC.

    Not sure what the issue is, but power just came back on (again).

    I just received a call from the DOM automated system and it stated the outage was caused by equipment failure.

    Bummer. I don't know how widespread it was but we never had any power issues today in Ashburn Village.

    According to Dominion's map, there were over 4,000 homes affected. Ours came back on (the second time) around 5:45 as well.
