I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a primary care physician. Our current doctors, who we love, have gotten so popular and so busy that it is impossible to get in to see an actual doctor for any sickness. They are still available for well visits, planned well in advance, but getting to actually see a doctor when you're sick takes between 2-7 days (by then most people are no longer sick). Their nurse practitioners and physicians assistants are normally available the same day or the next, but my experience has been that they just google your symptoms for a diagnosis (I can do that at home).

So, we are in the market for some new primary care physicians and are open to referrals. I am not trying to "out" my current doctors, they have done nothing wrong besides suffering from their own popularity...

I love Broadlands Family Practice. I use the office in Brambleton and never have a problem getting in. My Dr. is Dr. Mary Renard and she is great, but I have seen several of the other physicians when she is not available and have always been satisfied. Their number is 703-726-0003.

I've been very happy with Broadlands Family Practice. To be honest, I'm not that picky and being close is a huge factor for me.

(Dr. Cohn is also a Broadlands resident.)

I kind of suspect that BFP is who is getting too busy and he's trying to switch away from. Quit saying how great they are so we can all get in when we want! ;)

BFP has my vote and all the Doctors are affiliated with Loudoun Hospital as well. I was admitted for three days and Dr. Rodriguez was doing rounds that weekend. It's the Nurses I don't care for. I get the impression all but one are LPN's.

As for same day appointments...they have reserved slots just for that purpose and if a Doctor is not available, they will fit you in with the Nurse Practitioner. You must call as soon as they open.

You know, what I'm getting from this is that MORE doctors should be as awesome as the ones at BFP! Step up, docs!

You know people ... we were at BFP first, we've been going since the day they opened their practice. So all of you are to blame that they are so freaking busy. Go find yourselves new docs, I want to keep my Doctor Cohn ... he is the best.
