I would be interested too! I missed the mulch delivery by the boyscouts.

I am also looking for reasonably priced small stone to fill in under deck. The price at Bluemont was out of control

Best bet would be to buy it yourself at HD or Lowes and do it yourself.

I wouldn't call that shredded hardwood mulch at HD anything but tree chunks. It's certainly not anything that even remotely resembles "mulch".

If you have the time and the means to pick it up check prices with Luckstone on the stone inquiry. Depending on what you need you could have it delivered from their plant on Belmont Ridge Road. I once bought about 7.67 net tons the price was $76.32 and the haul charge was $83.00 with taxes it came to $163.14 granted you may not need that much. To add contrast if you pick it up yourself the price is much better, I took a small pick up truck and was told I could fill up as much as I could carry in the truck for $25.00 do a bit of research on what you need call Luckstone they were quite helpful with us. Forgot to mention what I purchased is what they refer to as "VDOT 57" or what you and I may call gravel it's worth the drive to see what you'll be getting.

A more decorative riverstone (chalet in their terms) like product I purchased from them ran us about $130.00 a ton and their delivery fee was about $70.00 the more decorative products you'll need to get from their Sterling location. Hope this helps, the phone number for the Belmont location is 703-729-2800 the Sterling location is 703-435-1400 here is their link http://www.luckstone.com/index_flash.php

We are on our second year using Green Sun (703) 327-7018 for mulching, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, etc. They are very reliable and do a great job. We priced them originally and they are reasonable as well. The prices were not increased this year either.
