For a fee of $1, they will help remove your name and address from prospective mailing lists. Be patient, as it may take up to 90 days for most mail to stop. But you will be glad you did.

I spent 2 hours one afternoon and called all the merchandisers that sent me catalogs - over twenty six catalogs! I asked them to remove me from their mailing lists and to not exchange/sell my name to other marketers. I still get one here and there but lessened the total dramatically.

 

yeah, that works for the ones you signed up for, and the DMA is good for "unsolicited" bulk stuff, though it is bs that the DMA charges $1. I did it and it definitely has reduced the amount of trees in my mailbox!
