Sorry for the short report. Broadlands Phase 3 will have Partlows Market (under new name) at the new shopping center by January 2006. Greg Preast who owns the full service butcher/seafood market in Ashburn recently decided to move his business to Broadlands Phase 3. Greg is a good friend of our family. He uses the same butchers that Ruth Chris does and even home delivers. Also, I heard that Home Depot Expo was going to Broadlands/Ashburn area in two years. They were originally supposed to be located at Ashbrook Commons but lost their lease option. Target will be in Ashburn near Broadlands area by 2007.

Washington Business Journal (WBJ) also reports Metro Areas future projects/etc. Harris Teeter is opening 6-8 stores by 2008 in Loudoun County. Brambleton Fall 2006 (?), Stone Ridge Fall 2005, tentatively Lansdowne Town Center 2006-2007, and near Leesburg Airport. Trader Joe's is looking at future stores in Ashburn and Leesburg by 2008. Barnes and Noble is considering a huge 30,000 sq. ft. store where Wegmans will open in Leesburg in 2009 along with a 20 AMC Cinema.

Here is a link to renderings of the Brambleton Town Center

    http://www.madisonretailgroup.com/retail centers/Brambleton/Brambleton Town Center.pdf

This is what I call a first class project there are way too many ugly centers popping up or planned escpecially the gas stations. "On the Run Exxon??? Shell on Waxpool and on on " Aren't they adding beauty to Loudoun County, NOTTTT.

This center Brambleton Town Center should be used as a benchmark in design even for smaller centers.

It looks like Brambleton's commercial properties are much more attractive than the residential areas!

Gee .. a Chevy Chase bank ... why am I not surprised. No wonder they charge fees for every little thing ... they have to pay for all those locations somehow !![8D]

yeah Chevy Chase (and most other large branch banks) are utter ripoffs when it comes to interest rates (and sometimes charging you maint fees). I do have Bank of america checking just because of their superior online bill-pay, but all savings I keep at VirtualBank for like 3.6% compared to ~0.6% at Chevy Chase...
