Have aluminum framed glass shower door and the internal hinge has bent, so door will not close by about 2 inches. Not sure how to get in there and DIY without breaking more things. Does anyone have a recommendation on a handyman that can fix? Hopefully we will not have to replace too much.

We ended up having the whole shower door/glass wall replaced by Enclosures Unlimited in Sterling. Highly recommend! Great customer service and very knowledgable about their products.

How much did it cost to replace?

E.U. sent Tommy out to provide consultation and quotes. He discovered that Van Metre had done a sloppy job in installing our glass -- a lot of unnecessary aluminum framing and they had even installed the glass in the door backwards, the water resistant side was on the outside of shower! We have a shower with a bench, so there is an additional glass wall next to the shower door -- ordered a semi-frameless with clear glass and it cost well under $2K (cost will vary due to glass-type, frame or no, hardware and if you add the Diamon Fusion sealant). The guys that came out were detail-oriented and even re-grouted other areas of the showers/shower pan, as well as adding silicone to seal without us asking. Very happy consumer :)

We redid our master bath and we used Banner Glass in Leesburg. The cost for all new shower glass, door and aluminum framing was $1500. Much better than the original unit VM installed!
