Sr. SAN Engineer (SAN) in Washington, DC

G&B Solutions, Inc. has an opportunity for a Storage Engineer, Senior in Washington, DC.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for setup, deployment, maintenance and operations of Network Applicance (NetApp) SANs.
Qualifications Required
At least six (6) years experience in supporting, administering, operating, maintaining, and securing SAN and NAS storage facilities, including two years in a technical leadership or supervisory role

At least six (6) years experience in troubleshooting, installing, and patching storage subsystems

At least four (4) years of experience troubleshooting storage problems and providing solutions

At least four (4) years of storage management experience in a large organization or corporation

Thorough knowledge of computer network telecommunications, UNIX operating systems, Windows operating systems, and the TCP/IP protocol

Thorough knowledge of network management protocols and related standard tools

Thorough knowledge of telecommunications, network, and computer security issues and established security practice

Thorough knowledge or enterprise network back technologies (e.g., Veritas NetBackup) used to and restore SAN and NAS systems
