Storage Sheds

    My husband and I have been talking about getting a shed.

    Does anyone have any recommendations on companies to use or not to use? Or any other helpful tips?

    I thought those weren't allowed by the HoA.

    We got ours at Dogwood Builders in Leesburg on route 7 next to Meadows Farm. They did a good job on delivery, setup, etc. I've seen them around the neighborhood a lot doing deliverys. Good selection it seems.

    And, of course, there is Home Depot and Lowes but I like using the small business, local folks generally.

    Check the county for any type of property setback requirements. Never done a shed in Loudoun so I'm not sure about the details. If you have an odd shaped lot or one that's on the small side the shed might end up in a weird location within your property.

    We had Heartland build a shed for us. We sent the plan to the HOA and they approved. They came on site and put the kit together. We had the exterior painted to match the house. It is about four years old and in great shape. Just wish we could have built a larger one. :)

    They have an outdoor showroom on Rt. 7 - they are the place heading towards Leesburg on the right with the wood outdoor gyms for kids plus sheds; near the "newer" Best Buy shopping center. They have been around for years. Lowes also sells Heartland sheds.

    I recall correctly, you have some options, one or two windows, shelves, etc.
