I did a search first as I recall seeing this topic a while ago, but I couldn't find anything recent. My son is getting married in April and I'm looking to take out of town family to Sunday Brunch the day after the wedding. I was looking at Lansdowne, but that's pretty expensive ($50.00 pp) for a large group. I was looking at Clydes, but it's off the menu. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I ate brunch at Clyde's this past Sunday, so I'm pretty sure they are still offering it there. They have a great mix of entrees and I thought it was quite good.

I'm still a HUGE fan of the brunch at Tuskies. I think it's under $30 a head but don't quote me- you can't put a price on that bread pudding and applewood bacon... drooool... here's what i think of their brunch:

...let’s talk about the all-American tradition of pure gluttony when faced with a buffet of seemingly limitless options. As upscale as Tuskies’ regular menu is, I wasn’t sure what we’d find at the Sunday Brunch- quail eggs, duck livers, oysters benedict- would it be all fancy food and no simple French toast, bacon and eggs? I happily discovered the best of both worlds at this Sunday Brunch. From cedar plank salmon with orzo to oven roasted potatoes aside fluffy scrambled eggs - this brunch was the reason stretch pants were invented.

Fresh baked breads and pastry, miniature fruit tarts, savory beef tenderloin medallions, crisp baby spinach salad with walnuts and citrus vinaigrette, fat maple sausages, thick French toast… dish after dish beckoned as I thought, “So this is why I eat Nutrisystem all week, so I can ingest an insane number of calories in one self-indulgent sitting.”

I am proud to say I sampled small portions- not so proud that I sampled small portions of- well, EVERYTHING. (All but the two dishes with shrimp, due to allergies. Again, my obligation as Aphioni dictates that I do so… ahem.) This brunch is worth every cent- from a simple staples to signature specialties- every palate will find oh so satisfying dishes to linger over. I highly recommend a thick slice of crisp applewood bacon on the side of a moist, dense hunk of bread pudding- please just trust me and try it- that salty/sweet sensation is heaven on the tongue. It’s no exaggeration, it’s simply the luscious truth!

Another nicety of a Tuskies brunch- the bold, spicy Bloody Mary served with a colossal shrimp on the rim- though I could not enjoy one on mine, The Man was thrilled to get two and our stellar waitress brought me skewers jumbo olives and pearl onions to accent the drink made for the “Sunday after”…

An amazing brunch is hard to come by on this side of LoCo, so dress in your Sunday finest, or throw on nice jeans and a casual shirt, bring the family or enjoy a quiet moment as a couple, and take yourself on a culinary journey!

Well - we'll be spending almost $2,000 for a rehearsal dinner, so want to try to keep this brunch for $30 and under. Thank you for your review at Tuskies...my mouth was watering and I'm not a big breakfast eater....

If you are looking for private dining, I held my daughter's Bridal Shower at Clyde's in late 2007. I had a buffet brunch in the Audubon Room. At the time it was $25 per person, with a minimum of 25 people. They did a wonderful job, the food was fantastic. The menu was Salad (House & Caesar), French Toast, Quiche, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage & Bacon, Potatoes, Assorted Breads & Fruits, Coffee, Tea (Hot & Cold) and soft drinks.

Take them all to Lightfoot Restaurant. Give them all the tomato soup. They will thank you forever!!! Yes it's that good! Seriously though I think I paid $30 per person on mother's day for all you could eat brunch and it was the best I'd ever had. It blew Clyde's away and I like Clyde's. Tuskie's is nice but they don't have the soup...

    Have Fun,

You might want to try The Amphora in Herndon. It is not fancy but consistently has good food and a private dining room.

Make an inquiry at Forno. I bet they could work something up.

100% agree about Lightfoot. It is a top notch Sunday brunch, classy and delicious food. Lightfoot is so much better than Clydes or Tuskies and I am a foodie.

One hint with Lightfoot, there is the parking lot out back (do not try to do off street parking at their front entrance).
