Last night I went for a walk around North Broadlands from 10:00 pm to 10:30 pm without my cell phone. I saw a black truck driving up and down each cul-de-sac. The truck would stop every now and then and the driver would get out. I was never close enough to see what he was doing. He passed me several times but I could never get a license plate since it was so dark (and he was speeding).

He was not delivering local papers or anything. He was looking for things.

He had several lawn mowers in the bed of his truck and a bike.

I have two theories on this:

    1. Dumpster Diver – Last night was when most folks put out their trash for Thursday pickup. He could have been checking the trash piles and taking things that he wanted. I have no problem with that and I believe he has a legal right to do that.
    2. Grab and Run – He also could have been stealing bikes and lawn mowers that were left out in yards.

So if your trash was a little lighter this morning or if your lawn mower is missing, you have an explanation.

This same truck (Black Dodge 4 door Crew cab) that came down our street last Sunday in Southernwalk. We were out walking our dogs and he nearly ran us down after taking the turn on our street way too fast. I observed him go down our street at a high rate of speed, when he came around again I blocked his path and had a few choice words with him about his driving skills.

Hubby got his plate # and we called LSCO as he hightailed it down Ridgeway.

Must be the same guy in the same truck. It was a four door Black truck and he was driving like a madman.
