I know there's a discussion being beat like a dead horse about the single family home lawn contracts, but what's with the almost-now knee high lawns not being cut by their owners in the townhomes at Southern Walk?? I've watched the end unit across from the pool's grass grow higher than my knees. Now there's garbage interspersed between the blades of grass...what a lovely entrance to the development that is!! How high does it get before the HOA comes down on them? I'm all for the natural look, but woah...this is eco-hell.

Have you reported this to WES @ the HOA?

This has been noted ... some of these locations have not yet been turned over to owners yet.

However, if there are THs that have been moved into, and the lawn looks like a wheatfield ready to reap, please pass on the address to the HOA office.

As mentioned elsewhere, we are looking for volunteers to assist with Covenents Inspections ... please contact the HOA office.

What is a homeowners responsability to trimming tree limbs that are hanging over the sidewalk? There are several houses on our block where you have to duck to avoid the branches in order to get by.

Along what area ?? If these are developer planted trees, they're not that old, and were probably planted that way.

I will, Beahmer. I just thought that, being across from the pool and the Nature Center, Wes or someone from the HOA can't help but notice it. I'm sorry, I just don't understand how a homeowner can have that little respect for his/her neighbors and community and that it isn't second nature to want your property to look nice...how hard can it be to call someone to come mow your lawn if you don't have the time, or equipment...or the motivation. I have family coming from out of town, and I've been bragging about what a beautiful setting Broadlands is and how I don't mind paying exorbitant homeowners fees since the area is maintained so well, etc. So much for that...

Wes and Maureen try to keep an eye out, but they are only two people, and that is not their full time job. Eventually we'll need to get someone hired full time to do this type of work.

The person you are referring to is mowing their yard as we speak! Maybe he reads the forums!
