Do any of the community pools offer swimming lessons? If so, does anyone know the contact info?

I think Summerbrook did last year but I am not sure. TIA

NV pools offers there lessons agian this year. I believe the cost is 58 for 8 lessons (2weeks 4/week). Information should be available at all of the pools but Becky who is the manager at Summerbrooke is the lesson coordinator. It is my understanding that lessons will be available at both Summerbrooke and Southernwalk but which lessons and when I don't know. Stop by one of the pools and you should be able to pick up what you need

Is it a requirement for the parents to participate in some volunteer activity for the pool if they enroll the kid in the swimming lessons at one of the Broadlands Community pool.

I remember reading this vaguely in some newsletter or brochure?

Does anyone know if this is true.

    Thanks

You are probably thinking of the need for parents of swim team members to volunteer for their fundraising.

Swimming lessons have NO volunteer requirement. PamD is right what you probably read about was the swim team. You have so many hours you need to volunteer for meets and on a committee when your child joins the swim team. Swimming lessons are run by NV pools and work just as any other lessons do there is a set fee ($58 I believe) for a set number of lessons (again I believe 4 x week for 2 weeks) Becky who is the manager at Summerbrooke pool (on Demott road) is the lesson coordinator and can answer all questions that you have
