Does anyone have info yet about the annual Broadlands Community garage sale? I remembered reading in an earlier thread that it would take place on 31 April yet there was no mention of it in the Broadlands April newsletter.

I've been holding off from our moving sale until hearing the date of the community event but if it is pushed too far forward I may just have to bite the bullet and go forward with ours.

FYI -- I spoke to a member of the events committee today who provided me with the following info:

Please e-mail this to all of your friends and neighbors in
Broadlands..(the events committee forgot to list in the April
    newsletter, so
we are trying to spread the word through e-mail..)

The Broadlands Events Committee is organizing a community yard sale
for the residents of Broadlands for Saturday, April 30, 2005 from 8:00
    am -
12:00 noon - rain or shine. The Events Committee will run ads in
    various
newspapers, stating the date, time and referring customers to the
    website:
    http://hoa.broadlands.org <http://hoa.broadlands.org/> to get
    addresses
and a map of participants within Broadlands. If you would like your
address listed on the map, please send an e-mail to:
yardsale@hoa.broadlands.org (please make sure to include your home
    address
in the e-mail.) You do not have to have your address listed to
    participate,
just put your items out. Please note that if you decide to put out any
individual signs in the neighborhood directing people to your house you
    are
responsible for removing them at the end of the yard sale time period!!

I still think having it at a central location is better. Still have the individual home sites but also have a central location where people can setup tables and sell stuff. Maybe a parking lot like the pool. Just my $.02

Since our participation will be more of a moving sale I'm glad that it will not be a central location!!! Can you just see me lugging some couches and chairs up Clairborne? <g>

The Community Yard Sale is supposed to happen this weekend. Hope the thunderstorms stay away until Saturday evening!

We are selling a glass dining table set, many paintings/pictures, DVDs, CDs, computer desk, TV stand, area rug, car stereo equipment (tell your teenage kids), and books.

Anybody else care to post what you may be selling?
